Laresa attended the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy’s (VCMT) fulltime 3000 hour program, where she was honoured with the Heart Award for ‘Unconditional positive regard for others combined with a passionate commitment to excellence in the massage therapy profession’.
Laresa’s holistic approach to massage focuses on treating specific areas of concern, and the body as a whole. Her treatments are based on the needs that best suit the individual, applying a combination of techniques that can include Swedish techniques, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Technique, Trigger Point Therapy, Joint Mobilizations and Passive/Active Stretching.
During her treatments, emphasis is placed on clients taking an active role in their own well-being by offering customized stretching, strengthening, hydrotherapy and/or adjustments to daily activities.
Laresa has treated a variety of injuries and conditions, including work-related postural pain and stress, headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, motor vehicle accident injuries, sports injuries, sciatica and frozen shoulder.
Her love of cooking and dining out has her on a never-ending quest for the next perfect bite. She finds balance through enjoying the outdoors, hiking with her dog, biking, snowboarding and scuba diving.
