Emilie Whittemore is a registered physiotherapist who merges her skills in manual therapy and exercise prescription with the most recent evidence-based practices to help keep her patients active and mobile.
Emilie’s interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation grew out of her experiences as an athlete and coach in freeride skiing, swimming, waterpolo, and surfing. Through these experiences she learned firsthand the value of an emphasis on injury prevention through careful attention to biomechanical movement patterns, which she integrates into each individual client’s case, catering to their specific needs.
Before earning her Master’s in Physical Therapy, Emilie graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. She also holds a certification in Functional Dry Needling and K-Taping.
Emilie was attracted to the Sea to Sky area by her love of the outdoors. When not in the clinic getting her clients back to their respective pursuits, she can be found exploring BC’s mountains on skis, bike, or on foot, or surfing the swells of the west coast.
